Eduardo is a partner in the Tax, Corporate and M&A Practice Areas at ECIJA.
He has more than 25 years of professional experience in tax defence proceedings and has advised many leading companies and entrepreneurs as legal counsel in their corporate restructurings and M&As.
Before joining ECIJA, he was a partner of Colón de Carvajal Abogados.
Tax Area: As a reputable tax attorney, he has attended proceedings concerning tax liquidation issued by the Tax Audit Service, including the annulment of Article 38 of the Inheritance Tax Regulations according to the Supreme Court ruling of 18 February 2009, after having raised an issue of illegality.
He recently headed up the defence of celebrity artists and athletes in the area of intercompany transactions.
Corporate Area: Eduardo serves as the Secretary of the Board of Directors of several commercial, technological and entertainment companies. He currently acts as a legal advisor for corporate and/or asset restructuring transactions, and also for mergers and acquisitions.
He has a wide range of experience in the field of legal operations in the entertainment sector, and has advised many theatre producers.
Throughout his professional career, he has provided services for institutions such as the Spanish Football Association (Real Federación Española de Fútbol) and at the Spanish Public Company for port activities, Ente Público Puertos del Estado.
He is the Secretary of the Board of Trustees at the Fundación Foro de Encuentros-Foro de Foros, which organizes the annual Intergenerational Meetings at La Granja (Encuentros Intergeneracionales de La Granja).
Eduardo holds a Bachelor Degree in Law from the Universidad Autónoma de Barcelona and a Master of Laws (LL.M) in Taxation from Centro de Estudios Tributarios y Económicos. He has collaborated as a Visiting Professor at the European University of Madrid by teaching in the Master of Laws (LL.M) program in Legal Practice.
Eduardo is a member of the Madrid Bar Association.
