ECIJA triples regarding 2019 its presence in the North American boards of directors.

In its new 2020 edition, the North American publication Best Lawyers has acknowledged internationally 48 ECIJA lawyers as best lawyers in 5 countries, pointing out in more than 25 specialities. The information shows a 50% recognition up to the total of partners, who are form of the Firm.  Thus, the Firm consolidates its strategy of the leadership in multidisciplinary services in a global level and triples the consecutive number in previous editions.

Between the best lawyers of the legal Spanish market, it has been stood out 38 partners of the Firm, being for the first time in the 2020 edition list 23 of them. The acknowledged partners in Spain are: Alejandro Touriño, Alfonso Autuori, Alfonso Morales, Alfredo Solana, Alonso Hurtado, Arturo del Burgo, Carlos Pérez, Carolina García de la Rasilla Arambarri, Gonzalo García-Valdecasas, Constantino Vidal, Cristina Azpitarte, Daniel López, David Sánchez, Elena Annez de Taboada, Emilio Prieto, Franz Ruz, Gabriel Nadal, Hugo Écija, Ignacio Azpitarte, Ignacio Díaz De Aguilar, Jordi Pujante, Javier López, Jesús Martín Botella, Jesús Yáñez, José Ayllón, José María Abella, Juan Salmerón, Leticia Domínguez, Maite Mascaró, Maria González, Miquel Àngel Alonso, Pablo Jiménez de Parga, Rafael Córcoles, Raúl Rojas, Ricardo Oliveras, Víctor Moralo, Xavier Muñoz and Yolanda Lobao. Furthermore, Ignacio Díaz de Aguilar has been noted as lawyer of the year in M&A/Corporate Law. Juan Salmerón adds to this acknowledgement in the Publicity area. These two lawyers are now part of the already identified as lawyers of the year in last editions: Hugo Écija, Jesús Yáñez y Xavier Muñoz.

Likewise, in Portugal, 3 lawyers have been acknowledged: Amílcar Silva, Claudia Leonardo and María Ruiz de Velasco. In Latin American, 7 lawyers are stood out in the Firm: the Chilean Gerardo Otero, José Joaquín Laso, Macarena López, Dolores Echevarría; the Honduran Leonardo Casco Fortín y Rosalinda Cruz Sequeira, and the Puerto Rican Jaime Sanabria.

Best Lawyers, published since 1983 in USA, is one of the “reference guides of lawyers more respected in the practice”, according to the magazine Corporate Counsel. Since more than 35 years, the guide annually acknowledges the exercise of the lawyers depending on the valuation of the clients and colleagues of the profession, who vote to the candidates regarding the quality of the offered legal services and their professional aptitudes.

In previous editions, ECIJA has achieved being the Spanish Firm of the year in Communication and Information Technology Law. This last practice encompasses specialities such as Technology, Intellectual Property, Privacy and Data Protection, Software, Internet and Telecommunications, among other areas.
