Vicente Roldán, managing partner at Sigma, joins ECIJA as partner of the Firm to lead the insolvency and restructuring area, along with other five professionals joining the Firm from Sigma.

In a further step of its strategic growth plan, which aims to place to the Firm in the Top 5 of Spanish law firms in the next 5 years, ECIJA has reached an agreement with the specialized in Restructuring and Insolvency law firm, Sigma Abogados, for its integration in ECIJA.

The Sigma law firm team, led by Vicente Roldán as founding partner and other five professionals, joins ECIJA’s Madrid offices expanding the legal services offered to the current clients, in order to strengthen the said practice area, as well as collaborate in other disciplines such as litigation or real estate. Thus, Sigma leaves its headquarters in Serrano to join ECIJA’s offices in Madrid, located in Torre de Cristal, and joining a team of more than 100 professionals, where the needs of the clients are becoming more multidisciplinary and international.

Sigma stands out for its strong presence on the national market in the insolvency sector, having taken relevant participation in renowned procedures in Spain. Moreover, the new partner of ECIJA, Vicente Roldán, has participated in more than 150 bankruptcy proceedings, is currently insolvency administrator in over 25 active procedures. Prior to founding Sigma Abogados, he head of Antonia Magdaleno Abogados in Madrid, with posteriority to his career as attorney in Broseta and Gómez-Acebo y Pombo.

Growth strategy

Vicente Roldán is the fourth partner who joins ÉCIJA since the beginning of the year, after the hires of José Ayllón (EU & Antitrsut), Yolanda Lobao (Private Client ) and Daniel López (Information Technology), which already numbers  24 partners and more than 150 professionals at its headquarters in Madrid, Barcelona, Santiago de Chile and Miami.

The above-mentioned strategy of growth will find continuity in the next months with the incorporation of new partners, offices and practice areas that will allow the Firm to achieve the objectives set by its Board of Directors for this 2017.
