Borja is Partner of Corporate and M&A at ECIJA Madrid. He has more than 15 years of experience in commercial advisory matters, with a special focus on corporate operations, investment and divestment processes in different jurisdictions, corporate restructuring, and corporate secretary. Borja has developed his professional career in firms such as Deloitte, including a secondment in Scotland at Dundas & Wilson (currently CMS), as well as Baker & Mckenzie and Benow Partners.
Borja has extensive experience in acquisition processes (both shares and assets), Due Diligence and restructuring processes, as well as in corporate law (mergers, spin-offs, segregations, dissolution, and liquidation of companies, etc.), providing advice both national and leading international clients.
In addition to being a lawyer in Spain, in 2013 Borja obtained the qualification of “Solicitor” of England and Wales and is the representative in Spain of the European Lawyers Association. Borja has been recognized by Chambers & Partners and Legal 500 in several editions as a recognized lawyer in his area of practice.
He holds a Law Degree from the Autonomous University of Madrid and a Master’s Degree in Legal Advice from the IE Law School. Additionally, he has a postgraduate degree in international law from the Bucerius Law School (Hamburg, Germany) and another postgraduate degree in Common Law from the Scottish Faculty of Law (European Lawyers Program).
