ECIJA Mexico, amongst the best firms in M&A by the IFLR1000 ranking

For the second consecutive year, the IFLR1000 directory specialized in corporate and finance matters has ranked ECIJA amongst the best law firms in the Mexican market in the M&A category.

The International Financial Law Review 1000 (IFLR1000) has published new rankings for its 2022 edition, in which ECIJA Mexico has been selected, for the second consecutive year, among the best firms in the country in the Mergers and Acquisitions (M&A) category.

ECIJA’s Corporate and M&A practice in Mexico is led by Ricardo Chacón, managing partner of the Firm, as well as partner Joaquín Rodríguez. The area stands out for its expertise in media, information technology, sports, fashion, consumer, and logistics sectors, among others, in the areas of acquisitions, mergers and spin-offs, leveraged buyouts, joint ventures, corporate restructurings, as well as corporate governance. In this regard, the ranking’s board has valued ECIJA Mexico’s advice in the last year, which was focused on mergers of Mexican subsidiaries of Australian, American, and European multinationals.

The results obtained in the directory add to those obtained last July in the Leaders League ranking, where the Firm was recognized for its innovation, technology, data protection, intellectual property, media, and entertainment practices.

For Joaquín Rodríguez, member of the Executive Committee of ECIJA Mexico: «To be recognized again in the M&A practice by the prestigious IFLR1000 directory is always a joy and leads us to continue strengthening and betting on the corporate area of the firm».
