Sandra García
Sandra García is a partner in ECIJA’s Industrial and Intellectual Property practice area. She has over 20-years’ experience in litigation and in providing comprehensive advice on patents, designs, brands, copyrights, unfair competition and advertising to national and international clients in all sectors. With an extensive professional career at international firms, before joining Écija she spent 20 years as the head of Auren’s Industrial and Intellectual Property area and previously worked at Fieldfisher Jausás and Antena 3TV.
She holds an LLB in Law (Licentiatura en Derecho) from Madrid Autonomous University and an MA in Industrial and Intellectual Property from the University of Alicante (Magister Lvcentinvs). Sandra also studied Diplomacy and International Relations at the Diplomatic School and has an MA in European Union Law from Madrid Autonomous University.
Sandra has been recognised by prestigious international directories, such as Best Lawyers and Legal 500, as being among Spain’s top lawyers in Litigation and Intellectual Property and she received the ISDE Award for Excellence in Legal Practice as Professor of Intellectual Property Law, an area in which she usually contributes to institutions such as the Barcelona Bar Association.
She is a member of the Madrid Bar Association, the Spanish Group of the International Association for the Protection of Industrial Property (AIPPI) and the International Trademark Association (INTA).
Sandra speaks Spanish, Catalan and English.
