Alonso Hurtado
PartnerAlonso is a partner with more than 20 years of experience in cybersecurity, IT compliance and technology regulation, specialising in frameworks such as NIS2, DORA, eIDAS2 and international security standards.
Alonso is a lawyer with a consolidated national and international track record in cybersecurity, information technology and regulatory compliance. He has advised public and private entities in the design and implementation of information security compliance programmes, technological risk management and adaptation to regulatory frameworks such as NIS2, DORA and the eIDAS2 Regulation, as well as in the response to cybersecurity and data protection incidents.
Throughout his career he has accompanied companies in critical, financial and technology sectors in the development of cybersecurity governance strategies, internal policies, compliance audits and programmes for the prevention of fraud and money laundering in digital environments. He has extensive experience in bringing organisations up to international standards such as ISO/IEC 27001, ISO/IEC 27701, NIST Cybersecurity Framework, and in the use of ENISA technical guidelines, applying operational resilience best practices recognised in both Europe and the United States.
Prior to joining ECIJA, he developed his career in leading consulting and legal services firms. He is an external expert registered with SEPBLAC and has participated in projects on asset tokenisation and security in digital financial transactions.
Recognised for his professional excellence, he has been distinguished by Chambers & Partners, included in Iberian Lawyer's Top 40 under Forty ranking, and noted for his leadership in technological compliance as second vice-president of the Spanish Compliance Association (ASCOM), from where he promotes the professionalisation of the sector.
