Byron is a litigation lawyer with solid experience in administrative, civil, and inheritance law, as well as in judicial, arbitral, and administrative proceedings

Byron Sotomayor Noboa has been a partner at ECIJA Ecuador since 2020 and currently leads the firm’s Litigation Department in Guayaquil. He brings over 12 years of experience advising business groups in procedural, corporate, civil, labor, commercial, and administrative law.

His practice focuses on strategic conflict resolution, both in court litigation and arbitration, and on representing companies in complex legal matters. He serves as legal counsel and judicial representative for various companies, providing guidance in the development and implementation of legal strategies tailored to high-stakes disputes.

Byron holds a law degree from Universidad Católica de Santiago de Guayaquil and a Master’s in Procedural Law from Universidad de Especialidades Espíritu Santo (UEES). He is also trained in negotiation and dispute resolution, and is recognized for his analytical approach in handling inheritance, contractual, and administrative cases.
