Fernando Berio
Fernando Berio is a partner at ECIJA Puerto Rico in the Real Estate, Corporate/M&A, Tax, Public and Regulatory areas. He has more than 14-years’ experience advising companies and focuses his practice on preparatory work for real estate developments and corporate, real estate and tax law.
Fernando advises his clients in administrative proceedings at the state and federal level, is a former member of the Governing Board of the Puerto Rico Public Housing Administration and was part of the team that structured the first financial transaction for public housing in Puerto Rico.
He holds an LLM in Law (LL.M) from Columbia University and earned a degree in Business Administration, magna cum laude, from Georgetown University. He also holds a PhD magna cum laude from the University of Puerto Rico.
Fernando speaks Spanish and English and has basic knowledge of Portuguese, French, Italian and Catalan.
