Juan is a partner at ECIJA’s technology, media and telecommunications area, with more than 17-years’ experience advising Technology, Media and Telecommunications clients on TMT and Intellectual Property Law.
He is a Member of the Academic Board of the Master’s Programme in European Union Law at Carlos III University of Madrid, a lecturer at Master’s Degree in Intellectual Property Law of the Autonomous University of Madrid and director of the MA in Practise of Law programme of the European University of Madrid. Juan is also a lecturer at the IE Law School in the subject of Entertainment Law.
Recognised by Chambers & Partners among Spain’s top lawyers, Juan has been a partner at ECIJA since 2002.
He holds an LLB in Law (Licentiatura en Derecho), an MA in European Union Law and a Diploma in Competition Law from Carlos III University of Madrid. Juan has been selected as one of the top 40 lawyers under forty years in the Spanish market by Iberian Lawyer (Top 40 under Forty Awards 2009) and has been recognised by the most prestigious international rankings of business lawyers: Chambers Europe, Legal 500 and Best Lawyers as among the Best TMT and Intellectual Property Lawyers in Spain.
