Karla Morales Rosales is a partner at ECIJA Ecuador, specializing in Public and Regulatory Affairs

She has extensive experience providing strategic advice to multinational and national companies on investments, international construction contracts, public-private relations, crisis management, corporate social responsibility, and sustainability.

A law graduate from the Universidad Católica de Guayaquil, Karla furthered her education in Business, International Relations, and Political Economy at the London School of Economics, and specialized in Public Investment at ESPOL. Her professional career includes experience with prestigious international organizations such as the Organization of American States (OAS) and the Inter-American Commission on Human Rights (IACHR) in Washington, D.C.

In addition to her legal practice, she is an opinion columnist for outlets such as Revista Vistazo, The Huffington Post, and Diario El País. As an entrepreneur, she is co-founder of Pacificfields, the company behind the TORTIS brand of plantain chips, which since 2023 has expanded into international markets including the United States, the United Kingdom, and the United Arab Emirates.

She has been nationally recognized as Woman of the Year in 2016 and 2020, and was awarded the "Matilde Hidalgo de Procel" Medal by the National Assembly of Ecuador in 2022.
