Miguel Sánchez
Miguel Sánchez is the partner in charge of the Capital Markets practice at ECIJA.
He has over 15 years of professional experience specializing in capital markets, corporate governance, and corporate restructuring transactions.
Miguel has extensive experience advising listed and unlisted companies across a wide range of industries, as well as top-tier investment banks, on national and international capital markets transactions, both on regulated and unregulated markets. He also has deep expertise in advising listed companies on the design and implementation of corporate restructuring transactions (M&A), on corporate governance matters, and on corporate law in general.
Among the capital markets transactions, he has advised on IPOs, public takeover bids (both in domestic and international markets), public offerings of shares and subscription offers under the supervision of the Spanish Securities and Exchange Commission (CNMV), as well as the issuance of all types of debt instruments (including high-yield and green bonds), and the admission and delisting of securities on Spanish Stock Exchanges, BME Growth, and MARF.
Miguel holds a double degree in Law and Business Administration from the Universidad Autónoma de Madrid. He is a member of the Madrid Bar Association and the Spanish Institute of Directors (Instituto de Consejeros-Administradores, IC-A). He is the author of several publications and speaks Spanish, French, and English.
Recognized in the Capital Markets area by the international directory IFLR1000, Miguel is also ranked on the Transactional Track Record (TTR) platform as one of the most active business lawyers in terms of both number and total value of transactions.
In 2024, he was awarded Capital Markets Lawyer of the Year (Debt & Equity) at the Iberian Lawyer Forty Under 40 Awards 2024.
