Monserrat Soto is part of our corporate and transactional law team. Her main specialty is LPM, focusing on the coordination of both internal and external teams and assignments in regional projects, as well as sophisticated transactions with excellent control of scope, time and budget.
She has participated in a dozen M&A transactions for our main clients, in sectors such as pharmaceuticals, technology, insurance, and agrochemicals, most of which were regional in scope, as well as the establishment of new operations in Costa Rica. He has provided LPM services to international firms in their projects related to Latin America.
Monserrat is also Head of the IP practice team, and as such is fully dedicated to providing strategic advice in all areas of Intellectual Property, as well as in the sui generis categories of intangible assets. Her practice includes a comprehensive, dynamic and fresh approach, not only to ensure a robust growth of companies by securing their IP assets but also to prevent potential infringements and litigation during business development, especially in creative industries.
Monserrat Soto received her law degree from the University of Costa Rica in 2014. In 2018, she graduated with honors from the same educational institution, where she received the title of Specialist in Commercial Law and successfully completed the CopyrightX course taught by Harvard University in 2021.
