Ricardo Oliveras
Ricardo is a partner at ECIJA Barcelona’s Corporate/ M&A area.
He is a lawyer with broad experience in commercial law and the sports industry who began his professional career at KPMG. In the sports industry, Ricardo has been a lawyer for companies that organise international sporting events, and has worked with and advised Spanish and international sports federations and associations on legal and sports matters, among others.
He understands how the sports industry works in all its aspects. He also advised FIFA in its selection process for the site of the 2018 World Cup.
In the commercial sphere, Ricardo advises numerous domestic and international companies on commercial contracts and corporate law, and serves as secretary and board member for several of his clients.
He provides advice to start-ups, entrepreneurs and investors on issues related to the legal structure of start-ups, investment rounds, shareholder agreements, public aid and grants, bank financing/participating loans, and intellectual property and tax matters.
In addition, Ricardo has been recognised by Best Lawyers’ prestigious international ranking as one of the best lawyers in Spain in his areas of specialisation.
He speaks Spanish and English.
