ECIJA Costa Rica have contributed to World Bank’s EQOSOGI report
At ECIJA Costa Rica we are proud to have contributed to an important research on the discrimination faced by sexual and gender minorities. Exclusion has a significant impact on the wellbeing of LGBTI+ people as well as their ability to participate in economic opportunities.
The new edition of the WorldBank’s EQOSOGI report documents the current state of laws, regulations, and policies that either promote inclusion or discriminate against people based on sexual orientation, gender identity and expression, and sex characteristics across 64 different countries.
Our partner Daniel Arturo Valverde Mesén answered the questions related to the Costa Rica chapter and coordinated the answers from ECIJA offices in Argentina, Mexico and Uruguay.
