César Zárate and Jesús Martín, Managers of the Firm, are the new Compliance and Criminal Law partners; and Innovation and Entrepreneurship respectively.

ECIJA has announced the promotion of two new partners in its Madrid headquarters for the areas of Compliance and Criminal Law, and Innovation and Entrepreneurship: César Zárate and Jesús Martín.

César Zárate has more than 12 years of experiencein criminal proceedings and legal defense of clients in different areas. He also directs, develops and implements regulatory compliance strategies and crime prevention programs (evaluation and criminal risk maps, criminal risk management systems, organizational models, ethic codes, internal policies, manuals and anti-corruption policies, ethical and complaint channels, internal investigations and  disciplinary sanctions systems). He is also an expert in specialized advice for managing the legal risk of new business models of emerging companies and startups.

On the other hand, Jesús Martín, new partner of the Firm’s Innovations and Entrepreneurship practice area, has a professional career of more than 10 years of experience advising national and international companies on new technologies, specifically intellectual property, internet, electronic commerce and telecommunications. From the beginning of his professional career, Jesus collaborates with startups, accelerators and venture capital funds, offering cross-cutting advice based on knowledge of the startups market. Professor of Law and New Technologies at the University of Valencia he actively collaborates in training programs at other institutions such as the Instituto de Empresa, Campus Google and Ulab Alicante, among others.
