José Ignacio Azpitarte
José Ignacio is a partner in the Litigation, Corporate/M&A and Banking Law practice areas of ECIJA and was founding partner of his own firm until its merger with ECIJA.
He has more than 40-years’ experience in practice areas and is recognised for having been in charge of the Legal Team in the expropriation of the Aznalcóllar Mining Complex, and the Legal Team in the expropriation of the Valencia – Alicante Highway, among others.
He has been head legal counsel for Banesto and head of the Regional Office of his legal services in Valencia.
He is a regular lecturer in Commercial, Litigation and Banking Law in different universities, and author of several articles and publications in specialised media and publications of the sector.
