Roberto Benard
Roberto is a partner of ECIJA in Nicaragua. He holds a Law Degree from the Universidad Católica Redementoris Mater, Managua Nicaragua and a Master in Business Law from the Universidad Pompeu Fabra in Barcelona, Spain.
Benard has more than twenty-three years in the legal field, mainly in Corporate Law, Real Estate Law, Intellectual Property, Banking and Civil Litigation. He has participated in a number of corporate mergers and acquisitions, real estate, due diligence, review of corporate loans or syndicated loans, and has also represented domestic and foreign investors in real estate and commercial transactions.
He was in-house counsel in the Corporate Legal Department of Grupo Pellas for 6 years, where he had the opportunity to be part of different transactions within this important business group. He was also an associate lawyer at Consortium Legal for 4 years, working in the areas of real estate, intellectual property, labour, civil and banking litigation.
He is currently a member of the Nicaraguan-Costa Rican Binational Chamber of Industry and Commerce (CADICONIC); member of the Mexican-Nicaraguan Chamber of Industry and Commerce (CAMEXNIC) and member of the official Spanish Chamber of Commerce of Nicaragua.
