Antonio Roncero is an ECIJA partner with a lengthy professional career of over 20 years advising large companies, especially listed companies, financial institutions and agents operating in securities markets as an external consultant in the fields of commercial and corporate law. Before joining ECIJA, he was a counsel in Ramón and Cajal’s corporate division in 2017.
Roncero is Professor of Commercial Law at the University of Castilla La Mancha and co-director of the Revista de Derecho de Sociedades (Company Law Journal), secretary of the Editorial Board of the Revista de Derecho del Mercado de Valores (Securities Market Law Journal) and member of the editorial boards of various Commercial Law journals (including Revista La Ley Mercantil (Commercial Law Journal), Revista de Derecho Mercantil, Revista La Ley Mercantil (Commercial Law Journal) and the publisher El Derecho’s Revista La Ley Mercantil (Commercial Law Journal).
In addition to his extensive academic and professional legal activity, he also has experience in the corporate sphere, where he has been chair of the Caja Castilla-La Mancha Foundation and served on the board of Banco CCM.
He holds an LLB in Law (Licentiatura en Derecho) from the National University of Distance Education, and has been a lecturer in Commercial Law and Banking Law. He speaks Spanish, English and German.
