Francisco Berninzon
Francisco is a partner at ECIJA Peru, where he leads the Sustainability area. He has over 50 years of experience in practice, making him one of the most recognized lawyers in the country.
He also has experience in Joint Ventures, Mergers and Acquisitions, restructuring and transformation of corporations, as well as designing and restructuring businesses. He worked at Estudio Lavalle-Abogados (Martinez, Bellido, Berninzon & Lavalle), and in 1999 he founded Berninzon & Benavides Abogados.
Furthermore, Francisco has extensive experience in structuring joint operating agreements, production sharing contracts, consortia, and similar business collaboration contracts, both internationally and nationally.
His experience includes legal counseling, handling legal issues, and representation in hydrocarbons services, such as land and offshore seismic surveys and hydrocarbons drilling contracts.
He has experience in preparing and negotiating crude oil sales contracts with Petroperú, the state-owned company responsible for purchasing and refining oil from local producers in Peru.
Francisco graduated with honors from the Universidad Nacional Mayor de San Marcos (1974) and speaks Spanish, English, and German.
He worked at Estudio Lavalle-Abogados (Martinez, Bellido, Berninzon & Lavalle), and in 1999 he founded Berninzon & Benavides Abogados.
