Ramón Miralles
Ramón Miralles is partner of ECIJA Barcelona and has more than 35 years of professional experience. He specializes in personal data protection, cybersecurity and compliance, in addition to other matters related to ICT law advice.
For 14 years, he was coordinator of auditing and information security at the Catalan Data Protection Authority. He is an expert in information systems auditing, implementation of information security management systems and legal and technological risk management. He has held CISO and CIO positions, actively participating in digital transformation initiatives, particularly in the public sector.
With a degree in Law from the University of Barcelona, Miralles has actively participated in projects related to technologies and social action, specifically in the ICT consultancy for the development of the technological axis of the strategic plan of the Public Defense of Costa Rica (Eurosocial II program of the European Commission) and in the group promoted by the Ibero-American Network of data protection, dedicated to the adequacy to the right to the protection of personal data in international humanitarian action.
Also, the new partner of ECIJA was an expert appointed by ENISA (European Network and Information Security Agency) in cyber-exercises and national contingency plans, privacy and data protection, and ICT-related law, especially in information security, for three years.
