Teresa Pereyra
Teresa Pereyra is a Data Protection and Privacy partner at ECIJA. Over the last three years she was head of the Data Protection, Privacy and New Technologies practice areas at Roca Junyent. She previously worked in the public sector, specifically at the Data Protection Agency of the Community of Madrid, and before that at ECIJA, where she worked from 2013 to 2015 as an associate of the TMT area of the Madrid office.
Her experience includes advising on projects that are in line with data protection regulations, audits, preparing compliance strategies, defending against sanctions procedures, training and due diligence procedures, amongst others. She has advised clients in the health, pharmaceuticals, marketing, banking, telecommunications, e-commerce, and culture sectors, among others. Her brilliant professional career has earned her recognition by Legal 500 in its latest edition as a “rising star” in the area of data protection and privacy.
In the field of education, Pereyra teaches in the University Master’s in Data Protection, Innovation and Security programme at Nebrija University. She is Coordinator of the Technology Committee of Women in a Legal World.
