Christian is a transactional Lawyer with various specialty areas including trusts, corporative law, litigation, financial and banking services, real estate and touristic law and labor law.
He has served as legal consultant for a variety of international clients on the implementation, protection and maximization of their investments in the Dominican Republic.
Christian posses a wide experience as advisor of lenders in sophisticated financial transactions, from carrying out due diligence process to borrowers and its stocks, to the structuring of the corresponding loan contracts and the registration of the appropriate guarantees.
In addition, he has advised clients with investments in the field of energy, commercial real estate, implementing corporative acquisitions or conducting operations pursuant to complex business structures.
He has been a pioneer on the study of the recent Law on Mortgage and Trust Market, advising clients in the creation of trust societies and the structuring of guarantees and real estate trusts development of high complexity.
Christian is a Scholar from Boston University School of Law and teaches Fiduciary Law in several master programs offered by Pontificia Universidad Católica Madre y Maestra (PUCMM). Has been recognized by the prestigious Mercado magazine and is author of several articles and publications on Fiduciary Law, including “The implementation of Trust in the Dominican Republic”, “The Reinvention of Trust”, and “A Legal Strategy to Ensure Host Country Development in Project Finance – Revenue Management Trust for the Investment of Project Revenues”.
He currently is the President of Asociacion Dominicana de Sociedades Fiduciarias, Inc. (Asofidom) and works under a secondment for Fiduciaria Reservas where he serves as General Manager.
He obtained a LL.M., American Law, International Business Practice, Outstanding Achievement Award in American Law, from Boston University, and a Juris Doctor, magna cum laude from Universidad Iberoamericana.
Member of the Dominican Bar Association, and of the Dominican Trusts Association.
Christian speaks Spanish and English.
