Joana Cunha d'Almeida is Partner in the Tax Law area
She advises national and multinational companies and individual clients on all aspects of the Portuguese tax system. Her practice focuses on corporate restructuring projects, international taxation, tax incentives, administrative and judicial tax litigation, as well as real estate transactions, compensation package structuring, and the Non-Habitual Resident regime.
She built her career between tax consulting and tax law practice. She joined Deloitte’s Tax Consulting division (then Andersen), where she was Manager from 2007 to 2010, and in 2010 took responsibility for the tax area at PLEN. From 2012 to 2016, she worked as an independent tax consultant, providing ongoing direct tax support to Antas da Cunha Ecija before joining as Partner in 2017. She has attended and taught various national and international tax training courses. She is a member of AFP and IFA and author of publications in specialized technical journals.
She has been with Antas da Cunha Ecija since 2017.
