Pablo is partner at ECIJA Guatemala specialising in Corporate/M&A, EU and competition law, real estate and intellectual property with more than 10-years’ professional experience. He is a consultant on corporate governance issues, providing analysis of financial statements, shareholder agreements and corporate restructuring projects for domestic and international companies.
In recent years, he has focussed his professional practice on Construction Law, with infrastructure and real estate development projects, using innovative contractual and technological platforms.
In the area of competition law, he is one of the most experienced experts in Guatemala, having participated on the team of advisors that designed and implemented the National Economic Competition Policy and designed the bill that became the Guatemalan Economic Competition Act [Ley de Competencia Económica]. He participates in conferences at the national and international level and has been one of the largest promoters of the culture of economic competition in the country.
Pablo is a professor of intellectual property at various universities in the country.
