ECIJA Mexico participates as speaker at AIJA conference
Last Thursday, May 30, Carlos del Razo, partner of ECIJA Mexico, welcomed, along with three other members of the organizing committee, to the conference of the International Association of Young Lawyers (AIJA), with the topic: “Law in the Digital Times of Economy”.
The AIJA Mid-Year Conference brought together more than 220 professionals from 30 different jurisdictions. In the opening session of the event, Carlos presented Track 2 of the event’s academic program, highlighting the need to develop regulations that adequately address the environmental impact of projects being located in Mexico due to Nearshoring, as well as to recognize and protect the rights of indigenous communities in a rapidly evolving technological environment.
Telemedicine was another key point discussed. Carlos highlighted how digital innovations are transforming the access and quality of medical services and consequently, lawyers in this field must be prepared and updated according to these new trends.
Finally, Carlos introduced the Key Note Speaker of the conference, MBA and Eng. Alejandro Canela, Vice President and General Manager for Mexico and Central America of SIEMENS Software Digital Industries, who highlighted the main trends and innovations in the digital economy.
