As a result of opinion No. 001236.2020.01.000/0, the Labor Prosecutor’s Office determined companies operating in the oil sector to adopt a series of measures to prevent the occurrence of outbreaks or transmission of COVID-19 on oil platforms.

Among such measures, and in order to prevent contamination and make the anticipated detection of the COVID, the Labor Prosecutor’s Office conditioned the boarding workers to the completion of the RT-PCR test. Thus, it will be up to the companies to carry out a prior RT-PCR test at the time of pre-boarding, therefore being subject to the applicable labor legislation penalties.
