Polibio focuses his practice in financial and banking services, counseling in stock market, mergers and acquisition matters, international commercial transactions and conventional and renewable energy.
Regularly represents lenders and borrowers in capital loans, loans based in assets and project financing; underwriters in the issuance of titles and securitization; private companies on reorganization and restructuring; financial intermediation entities, currency intermediation, and to trading posts in regulatory and transactional matters. Also assists sellers and buyers on sales and acquisitions of companies and assets on areas that include banking and financing, commerce, public services and hotel management, and advises producers, promoters and investment funds in the development of energy projects.
Polibio is admitted to practice law in Dominican Republic and in New York. He has worked as a lawyer in Dominican Republic, Houston Texas and Washington DC; in first level law offices and in the Legal Department of Interamerican Development Bank. Likewise, he regularly participates in discussion forums about securitization, trusts, public offers, restructuring and processes of due diligence.
He has been recognized in several occasions by the prestigious publication Chambers & Partners.
He actually serves as Co-Chair of the International Finance and Securities Committee of the American Bar Association. He is memeber of this entity since 2009.
He obtained an MBA from Barna Business School, LL.M. Securities and Financial Regulation from Georgetown University, a Master Degree in Economy from Pontificia Universidad Católica Madre y Maestra, and a Juris Doctor, summa cum laude, fromPontificia Universidad Católica Madre y Maestra.
