With this move, ECIJA now has 128 partners, 51 of them in Spain, and more than 660 professionals globally.

ECIJA continues its unstoppable growth strategy with the signing of Patricia Liñán, who joins the Firm as a partner to lead the Competition Law practice in the Madrid office.

The new partner of the Firm has more than 20 years of experience in national and European Competition Law, as well as in European Union Law, with a special focus on regulated sectors, having developed her professional career as managing partner of this practice area in firms such as Bird & Bird and CMS.

Liñán has extensive experience in advising companies in competition and merger control proceedings before the Spanish Competition Authority (CNMC) and the European Commission. His most recent work has focused on the field of damages claims, as well as advice and training on antitrust compliance issues. Her extensive experience in the field has been recognised by international directories such as Chambers & Partners, which rank her among the leading players in the market.

Patricia Liñán has also taught at different institutions, such as the Universidad Autónoma de Madrid, the Universidad Complutense de Madrid, the IE Law School, the Universidad Carlos III de Madrid and the Universidad Rey Juan Carlos de Madrid.
