Meeting in Preparation for the International Climate Action Congress

On Friday, January 26, 2024, Carlos del Razo, Partner at ECIJA Mexico and First Vice President of the Board of Directors of the Mexican Academy of Environmental Impact (AMIA), participated in a working session regarding the International Climate Action Congress (CIACC), which will be held for the first time in Mexico in 2025.

AMIA aims to foster the expression of the scientific, academic, technological, and legal community for the formulation of proposals in the areas of environmental impact, risk, and strategic evaluation.

The Private Foundation for Business and Climate, working towards business leadership and commitment in the fight against climate change with over 100 affiliated companies and institutions, participated through Elvira Carles, the director of the foundation and a UN observer.

Environmental management of companies, circular economy, energy transition, taxonomy and sustainable finances, production, optimization, and security in electricity supply, carbon capture and storage, among others, were central topics in previous editions of CIACC.

At the end of this event, it was agreed that in 2025, the American edition of CIACC will take place in Mexico. Each year, a large number of relevant companies and institutions participate (currently more than 200 from Spain).
