New legal memo from ECIJA Panama: Law 237 of September 15, 2021, increases the fine for companies that hire foreigners without a work permit.
The Labour Code of the Republic of Panama, in the first book of General Norms of Labour Protection, Chapter I of the Protection of the work of nationals, specifically article 20, establishes the sanctions that will be established by the Ministry of Labour and Labour Development in case of infringement of the articles established by the Panamanian labour legislation.
