Last Thursday, Financial Times held in London the 12th edition of the “FT Innovative Lawyers” Awards for innovation in the legal sector, recognizing ECIJA as one of the most innovative Law Firms in the European market.

The awards granted by FT have been evaluating the innovation and modernization of international law firms for more than a decade, assessing for this purpose both the ability of law firms in offering their clients pioneering services highly adapted to the changing environment and market, as its innovation from the organizational point of view of firm management, corporate culture or talent management. In this framework, the main legal innovation projects undertaken in more than 50 countries are analyzed, exploring more than 500 law firms and more than 500 internal legal advisors worldwide.

The ceremony was held  in London at the Natural Sciences Museum and counted with the presence of Alejandro Touriño, Emilio Prieto and Carlos Pérez, partners of ECIJA.

The recognition of ECIJA is due to project carried out for one of its clients in the financial sector, for which the Firm has designed and maintained in recent years a matrix of risks that allows legal teams and technological development professionals of the client automate the resolution of legal consultations in the field of intellectual property in an intuitive way, reducing human error and shortening response times.

In the words of Alejandro Touriño, managing partner of ECIJA, “in such a competitive market as the legal sector, innovation in the provision of legal services allows us to differentiate ourselves from our competitors. For this reason, we are especially proud when the recognition falls precisely on the ability we have to innovate and practice the profession in a different way, offering the maximum added value to our clients and helping the Firm’s professionals to develop their talent “.

This recognition once again distinguishes ECIJA among the most innovative Law Firms in the market, adding this award to those obtained consecutively in the Expansión Awards in 2016 (Most innovative Law Firm in Spain), 2017 (Most Innovative Project – “Data Forecast”) and 2018 (Most Innovative Project – “Anticitera”).
